Erica Alonso, LCSW
Welcome! I’m so glad you're here! My name is Erica. I began my social work career in 2015 working in the child welfare system and have experienced helping children and families struggling with child abuse and/or neglect, substance abuse, poverty and recruitment for both foster children and adoptive parents and have helped many children find forever homes.
In 2021, I began working with individual clients addressing challenges related to trauma history, depression, anxiety, and crisis management. I believe that everyone deserves to live to their fullest potential and we all need support from others from time to time. I believe in providing a safe space, giving individuals a voice to heal from past traumas/events where they may have never been given an opportunity to be vulnerable enough to do so. My approach is client centered with a focus on evidence based therapies like Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy. My therapeutic strategies include mindfulness, crisis intervention, human development, attachment and trauma.
I am the wife of a fire fighter and a mother to two little ones, so I deeply understand the challenges that life brings you. Having the ability to adapt and change is so crucial and aids in functionality and mental wellness. I look forward to seeing you and helping you navigate life's challenges.
