Bethany Polk, LCSW

Hi! My name is Bethany and I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker. I received my Masters degree from Texas State University in 2017. Since then I have worked with children, teens, families, and young adults at the intersection of some of life’s sharpest hardships and greatest joys. I am honored to now be a part of your healing journey as well.

My hope is that together we can create a space where you always know that you are worthy of the healing and wholeness that you seek. Through exploration of your hopes, fears, and beliefs, my goal is to meet you where you are in order to facilitate growth and reflection towards your identified goals. Throughout this process, you can expect me to be trauma-informed, inclusive, and identity-affirming. I am trained in utilizing Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Adventure Therapy, and Grief Counseling.

I am deeply passionate about supporting clients through trauma experiences (personal, familial, collective, etc.), grief and loss (to include death, separation, incarceration, child welfare involvement, etc.), depression, anxiety, and life transitions. I also enjoy supporting LGBTQ+ individuals, as well as persons who are interested in pursuing a more experiential (activity/reflection based) approach to therapy. I look forward to working with you.
